Gordon E. Schultz, 63, a Manitowoc resident, died Saturday morning, July 11, at Veterans Hospital, Wood, Wis.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer will officiate at the Mass of Resurrection and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, with military graveside rites accorded by American Legion Post No 88.
Mr. Schultz was born Nov. 17, 1917, in Kewaunee County, son of the late Wencil and Frances Rebitz Schultz. He attended Kewaunee Public Schools and resided in Kewaunee and Manitowoc County all his life. He married Lillian Fronk in August of 1963, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Prior to his retirement due to illness, he had been employed at Manitowoc Equipment Works. Mr. Schultz was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Army. He was a 25 year member of American Legion Otto Oas Post No. 88.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian T.; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Al and Mary Ellen Howarth of Manitowoc; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Edward Hynek Jr. of Manitowoc; a brother, Ray Schultz of Tisch Mills; nine stepgrandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 5 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday evening where a prayer service will be at 7 o'clock.
