MINNIE SCHROEDER (d. 1941)

Following a lingering illness Mrs. John Schroeder, 82, (photo) of 1817 New
York avenue, mother of Alderman William Schroeder of the first ward, died last
night at the home.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and
Schlei funeral home, the Rev. Theo. Uetzmann officiating. Burial will be in
Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Schroeder, nee Minnie Knuell, was born at Kossuth in 1859, daughter of
William Knuell, one of the couty pioneers. She attended the Lutheran school in
this city and in 1878 was married to John Schroeder. They came to this city to
make their home. Mr. Schoreder was killed in a train accident in 1904.
She is survived by three sons, Alderman William Schroeder, John and Glenn, all
of this city; daughter, Florence, of this city; two sisters, Mrs. John Brueder
of this city and Mrs. William Oestreich of Antigo; 12 grandchildren and 14 great
grandchildren.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Thursday noon until the hour of
services.
