SISSEL M. SCHROEDER
Mrs. Alfred Schroeder, 50, of 420 Riverview Drive, Manitowoc, died Wednesday
morning at the Wisconsin General hospital, Madison, following a lingering
illness.
She was born Sissel Lovell in Skien, Norway, in 1899 and accompanied her
parents to Chicago where she was married in 1923 to Mr. Schroeder. They
located in Manitowoc. From 1942 to 1946 the couple resided at St. Andrew,
Fla., returning here to make their home. She was a past president of the
Loida society of Manitowoc and a past chaplain of Legion posts in Manitowoc
and Panama City. Fla.
Survivors are the husband and two sons, Fred and David of Manitowoc; mother,
Mrs. H. Svenungsen Lovell of Chicago; two brothers, Sverre and Halvor of
Chicago; sister, Mrs. Harold Willbrandt of Hinsdale, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Lutheran church,
with interment in Evergreen cemetery.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home, Manitowoc, after
Friday noon. The casket will be moved to the church at 10 a.m. Saturday.
