RUTH I. (ALVORD) SCHROEDER
Mrs. Berlin (Ruth) Schroeder, 63, of 703 S. 32nd St., Manitowoc, died Thursday,
October 1, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Larry Ellenberger will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Schroeder, nee Ruth Irene Alvord, was born Nov. 13, 1917, in the Town of
Jackson, Washington County, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Guy and Addie Bowlby
Alvord. She was married to Berlin G. Schroeder June 1, 1941, in Iowa. Mrs.
Schroeder had been employed at Schuette Bros. Company, Manitowoc, until her
retirement in 1980.
Survivors include her husband, Berlin, three sons and daughters-in-law, Dale and
Chantal, Brian and Adele and Daniel and Cindi; a brother, Lloyd Alvord and seven
grandchildren all of Manitowoc. A sister, Laura, preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this
Friday afternoon until 11:30 a.m. Saturday, then at the church from noon until
the time of service.
