WIDOW DIES AT DAUGHTER'S
Mrs. Marie Schroeder Will Be Buried In Manitowoc
Mrs. Marie Schroeder, 89, who left here 28 years ago to make her
home with her daguhter and sons in Chicago, died Sunday at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Clara Kirsch in that city.
Funeral services will be held in Chicago Tuesday afternoon and the
body will be brought to Manitowoc that evening. There will be
services Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei
funeral home in charge of the Rev. Menke. Interment will be in
Evergreen cemetery.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Marie Kuhne, was born in Germany
in 1845. She was married there to Carl Schroeder. In 1867 the couple
came to this country and located in Manitowoc. Mr. Schroeder
established a furniture store here. He died 50 years ago.
Since locating at Chicago Mrs. Schroeder has returned to Manitowoc
often for visits with her son, Emil C. Schroeder.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Clara Kirsch, Chicago; three sons,
Arthur and Otto, Chicago, and Emil, city; six grandchildren and one
great-grandchild.
