LELAND C. SCHROEDER

Leland C. Schroeder, age 86, of 1900 Kellner St., Manitowoc, died Sunday,
February 21, 1993, at the North Ridge Care Center, Manitowoc.
Memorial Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, February 27, at Sacred
Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer officiating. His
cremated remains will be buried at Evergreen Cemetery.
He was born October 20, 1906, at Manitowoc, son of the late Albert and Kate
Kulnick Schroeder. He grew up in Manitowoc, and attended Manitowoc Public
Schools, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He was married to Catherine
Ogie on December 1, 1934, at Milwaukee, Wis. They resided in Whitefish Bay, Wis.
until 1940, when they moved to Manitowoc. He worked for the Wisconsin Bell
Telephone Company for 43 years, retiring in 1971. He was a life member of the
Manitowoc and Fox Valley Telephone Pioneers, having served as President in 1980.
He was a life member of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge No. 687 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Catherine; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lee and
Mary Ann Schroeder, Washington D.C. and their children, Sarah, Benjamin and
Rachel, Richard and Linda Schroeder, Cleveland, Wis. and their children, Alyssa
and Andrew, Steven and Nina Schroeder, Glencoe, Ill and their children, William
and John; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Paul Theisen, Manitowoc and
their children, Timothy, Thomas and Anthony, Susan and Charles Munkwitz, Waukesha,
Wis. and their children, Melissa, Nicole, and Charles and Lindsey.
Friends may greet the family on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church from
9 a.m. until the time of services. The Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei
Funeral Home is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
