GERTRUDE A. SCHROEDER (d. 1977)

Mrs. Gertrude A. Schroeder, 75, of 1894A Waldo Blvd., Manitowoc, died Tuesday
afternoon at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glen Unke will officiate with burial in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schroeder, nee Gertrude Toebe, was born Dec. 24, 1901 at Manitowoc,
daughter of the late Julius and Martha Engel Toebe. She attended Manitowoc
area schools. Mrs. Schroeder was employed at Wisconsin Telephone Co. and Holy
Family Hospital. Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 1957. She was a member
of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include four sons, John A. of Mentor, Ohio, Robert H. of Colorado
Springs, Colo., Donald T. and Edward C. of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Everett
(Joanne) Kasten, of Rt ?, Mishicot; a brother, Arthur Ioebe, of Manitowoc; two
sisters, Mrs. Gerald (Dorothy) Napiecinski and Mrs. Norman (Marion) Drueer,
of Manitowoc, 14 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 4 to 9
o’clock this Wednesday evening and at the church from noon Thursday until the
time of service.
