FRIEDERICKE SCHROEDER (d. 1920)

Mrs. ?lrivka, wife of Ernst Schroeder and a pioneer resident of the city, died
suddenly at the family home 926 So. Twelfth street last night, aged 70 (sic)
years. Mrs. Schroeder had been at the table for the evening meal and complained
of a pain about her heart but did not seem to suffer. She retired shortly after
the meal and had scarcely disrobed when her heavy breathing aroused Mr. Schroeder
who summoned help but it was too late, death had ensued.
Mrs. Schroeder was a native fo Germany and came to Manitowoc when two years of
age with her parents. She is survived by her aged husband, four sons, William,
Emil, Charles and Hugo and one daughter, Mrs. Ida Handl, all residing here. Sixteen
grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive.
The funeral will be held Monday at 2 o'clock at the home, Rev. Schoeppe officiating.
