Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval Kock will
officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Schroeder, nee Emma M. Metzger, was born May 14, 1894, at
Manitowoc, daughter of the late Anton and Martha Krueger Metzger. She
attended local public schools and Sept 27, 1913, was married to Elmer
C. Schroeder. The couple always resided at Manitowoc. The couple
marked its golden wedding anniversary in 1963. She was a member of
the Ladies Aid Society.
Survivors include the husband, two sons, Berlin, of Manitowoc and Ralphof Two
Rivers, a daughter, Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Eggert, of Manitowoc,three brothers,
William, George and Roland Metzger, of Manitowoc, five sisters, Mrs. Walter
Boehm and Mrs. Clarence Mauer, of Manitowoc, Mrs. Peter Beitzel, of Two Rivers,
Mrs. George Falhofer, of Sturgeon Bay and Mrs. Ethel Erdman, of Sheboygan, 13
grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Three sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Tuesday and
until Wednesday noon and at the church until time of service.
