Charles H. Scholten, age 94, of Alterra Sterling House, 5005 Vista Road,
Manitowoc, formerly of 1313 Marshall St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning,
Jan. 1, 2002 at the Alterra Sterling House.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002 at the Harrigan
Parkside Funeral Home with the Rev. Bruce Bitter officiating. Burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Chuck was born July 19, 1907 in Manitowoc, son of the late John and Alma Pitz
Scholten. He graduated with the class of 1926 of Lincoln High School. He then
continued his education at the Milwaukee School of Engineering. Chuck was
employed with Manitowoc Engineering as supervisor of experimental engineering,
retiring in 1968.
Chuck was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, American Institute
of Electrical Engineers, life member of the American Radio Relay League, life
member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, member of Mancorado
Radio club of Manitowoc, American Red Cross and past board of director and National
Council of Senior Citizens.
Survivors include neices, nephews along with other relatives and friends surviving.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until
the time of serivce at 11 a.m.
Memorials would be appreciated to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church or the
American Red Cross.
