Dennis E. Schoknecht, 46, of 516 Buffalo St., Manitowoc, died Saturday morning,
July 26, 1986 at his residence after a lingering illness. Funeral services will
be 1:30 pm Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Zimmer
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Schoknecht was born Nov. 17, 1939 at Manitowoc, son of Lucy Bugs and the late
William Schoknecht. He married Barbara J. Martell, July 19, 1986 at Manitowoc. He
attended Lincoln High School and was employed by Midwestern Distribution Company
and Leaseway Transportation Company of Fort Schott, Kansas. Mr. Schoknecht was a
Veteran who served overseas in Vietnam with the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; a son, Joshua Schoknecht of Manitowoc; a
daughter, Jennifer Schoknecht of Manitowoc; his mother, Lucy Schoknecht of
Manitowoc; step-children, Jay, Jessica and Jeremy Ott of Manitowoc; special
friends, Kim Kocourek of Manitowoc, Kathleen Bronk of Neenah and Keith Curtis
of New York; brothers, Herbert Schoknecht of Milwaukee and William Schoknecht
of Colorado; sisters, Edith Kerber of Manitowoc and Erla Rosinsky of Manitowoc;
6 grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
