Mrs. Hannah Schnell Dies At Hospital In City At Noon Today
Mrs. Hannah Schnell, former city of Manitowoc resident, who lately has been
making her home with a son in the town of Liberty, died at the Holy Family
hospital here at noon today. An operation for goitre was resorted to in a last
effort to save her life but it proved fruitless.
Mrs. Schnell was 70 years of age and made her home in this county for some time,
living in recent years with a son on the family homestead on Manitowoc Route 1.
She was a widow.
Details of Mrs. Schnells' life or the plans for the funeral services could not
be learned today but will be given in Monday's issue of this paper.

County Pioneer to Be Buried from Town Of Liberty Church
Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Schnell, pioneer county resident who died
here at noon Saturday after spending all of her life as a resident of the
town of Liberty and this city, will be held from the family homestead at
Liberty at _ oclock Tuesday afternoon and at 1:30 oclock from the German
Lutheran church there. Interment will take place at Evergreen cemetery here.
Born in the town of Liberty on August 27, 1859, Mrs. Schnell was married to
Christ Schnell 55 years ago, her husband preceding her in death. Immediate
survivors are two sons, Louis and Arvin, of the town of Liberty.
Mrs. Schnell died at the hospital here after an operation had failed to save
her life.
