Richard L. Ronsman, 66, formerly of 3317 Pom Pon St., Manitowoc, died Thursday evening, April 30, at Manitowoc Health Care Center.
Mass of resurrection will be 11 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. Philip Hoffmann will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Ronsman was born April 23, 1915, at Brussels, Wis., son of the late Frank Ronsman and Laura Bero Ronsman. He grew up and was educated in Door County. Mr. Ronsman moved to Two Rivers in 1939 and lived their until 1964 when he moved to Manitowoc. He was a journeyman sheet metal worker all his life, retiring in 1977. He married Evelyn Gauthier, Feb. 23, 1940, at Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded him in death July 26, 1966. Mr. Ronsman was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and served with the Navy during World War II and took part in the Invasion of Normandy.
Survivors include his mother, Laura Ronsman of Algoma, Wis.; a son and daughter-in-law, Terrance and Barbara Ronsman of Milwaukee; a daughter, Barbara Rhodes of Manitowoc; a brother, Donald Ronsman of Two Rivers; two sisters, Mrs. Mahlan (Jeanette) Dier of Algoma and Mrs. Ben (Germaine) Blaha of Algoma; four grandchildren, Rhonda and Terrance Jr. Ronsman and James and Sean Rhodes. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday. A parish prayer service will be 8 p.m. Sunday by Deacon William Klein.
