Mrs. Emil J. Reuther, 66, of 1013 N. 13th St., Manitowoc, died early
Friday morning at the home. She became ill while attending a church
meeting Thursday evening.
Funeral services will be at ?? p.m. Monday at Mittnacht Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, with the Rev. Gervase J. Zanotti officiating. Burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The former Flora Schlei was born Oct. 13, 1892, at Brillion, daughter
of the late William and Katherine Stagman Schlei. She was graduated
from Brillion High School and also Whitewater State Teachers College.
Mrs. Reuther taught rural schools in the Brillion area for about 10
years and also taught in the commercial department of high schools
at Oconto Falls, Two Rivers, Port Wahsington and Peshtigo. She was
married to Emil Ruether in 1938 at Two Rivers. The couple resided at
Manitowoc where he died in 1955.
Mrs. Reuther was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc,
also the United Presbyterian Women's Organization.
Survivors include a brother, Dr. W.G. Schlei of Brillion; three nephews
and a niece.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Sunday.
