Mrs. Charles Kornely Sr., 61, of 1013 North 12th street, died Saturday
evening at the Holy Family hospital following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Pfeffer funeral
home and at 9:30 at the Holy Innocents Catholic church, the Rev. E. A.
Radey officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Kornely, nee Lillian Meyer, was born in 1886 in the town of Two
Rivers. She was married to Charles Kornely and they resided in Francis
Creek. Mr. Kornely died in January, 1946.
Survivors are two daughters, Mary Ann at home and Mrs. William Rank of
route 2, Manitowoc; six sons, Earl and Paul of route 2, Two Rivers,
Clarence of Francis Creek, Charles Jr. and Gerald of Shoto, and Alois at
home; two brothers, Jerome of Manitowoc and Joseph of Shoto; two sisters,
Mrs. Al Lockman of route 2, Manitowoc and Mrs. Edward Dufek of Chicago;
and 14 grandchildren.
The body is lying in state at the Pfeffer funeral home and the rosary
will be recited at 8 o'clock this evening. Mrs. Kornely was a member of
the St. Ann's Christian Mothers altar society of St. Ann's church, Francis
Creek.
