DIED: Last night, at his home in the city, Mr. James Howarth, aged sixty-seven years.
Mr. Howarth was a native of England, but came to Manitowoc about thirty years ago and has resided here since. He was an upright, industrious citizen respected by all who knew him. His health has been poor for some time, but Sunday last he had a stroke of paralysis and lingered in an unconscious condition thereafter, to the time of his death.
He leaves a wife and several children, three of whom, Mrs. Jere Reardon, Alfred, the only son, forman at this office and an unmarried daughter, Georgie, are resident of this city. Other daughters are Mesdames Tuttle and Day of Greenleaf and Mrs. Lathum of Appleton and Mrs. Longhurst of Michigan, all of whom have either come or will come to this city today. The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock from the Presbyterian Church, Rev. Willis officiating.
