Mary Ann (Bartuska) Gillingham, age 84, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 25, 2002 at Badger Prairie Health Care Center, Verona.
She was born on May 6, 1918 in Manitowoc county, the daughter of Joseph and Emma (Wattowa) Chasensky. Her father died in 1922. She was united in marriage to Charles Bartuska on Aug.3, 1950. He died on July 2, 1966. She later married Vernard Gillingham on May 16, 1980. He died on Oct. 20, 1998. She retired from American Automobile Association in 1983. She was a past president of Madison Business and Professional Women.
She is survived by her daughter: Patricia Bartuska; her stepson, Ron (Laurie) Gillingham of Colorado; stepdaughter: Sandra (John) Wilke of Nevada; and a stepsister: Marcella Lemberger. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her mother Emma Swetlik; stepfather; Frank Swetlik; a brother: Ray Chasensky; a stepbrother: Fred Swetlik; and half sister: Elaine Ladwig.
Friends may call on Wednesday, Aug, 28, 2002 at the United Methodist Church, 702 North St., Sun Prairie, from 1 to 2 p.m. with a memorial service to be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Phil Kenas Officiating.
Additionally, a visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Funeral Home, 818 State St., Manitowoc.
A private family burial service will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
