LOUISE M. FECHTER

Miss Louise Fechter, 80, former Manitowoc teacher and school board member, died
Thursday at her home at 1107 South Eighth street. She had been in ill health for
several weeks.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Frazier mortuary, the Rev.
Dr. C.H. Phipps officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Miss Fechter was born in Manitowoc in 1869 and was a teacher at the old west side
grade school. She was a member of the board of education when the site was selected
for Lincoln high school and when the school was built.
Survivors are two nieces, Miss Blanche Fechter, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Henry Greune
of Chicago, four nephews, Wesley White of Seattle, Wash., George Fechter and Oscar
Richter of Manitowoc, and Paul Rahr of Chicago.
Friends may call at the Frazier mortuary after 7 o'clock this evening. Miss Fechter
was a member of the First Presbyterian church and was affiliated with several church
societies.
