ARTHUR BLUMENSTEIN

Arthur Blumenstein, 95, of 9702 Central Ave., Tampa, Fla., died Thursday morning,
Dec. 16, at Tampa.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. George Knudson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military rites will be accorded Mr. Blumenstein by American
Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 of Manitowoc.
Mr. Blumenstein was born Jan. 19, 1887, at Fergus Falls, Minn., son of the late
Charles and Henrietta McLaughlin Blumenstein. He was educated in Manitowoc schools
and was a former Manitowoc resident. He married Verna M. Jensen Aug. 10, 1947, at
St. Charles, Minn. They had resided in Tampa the past 35 years. Mr. Blumenstein was
a veteran of World War I serving in the United States Army from 1917 to 1918. He
was a member of American Legion Drews-Bleser Post N. 88.
Survivors include his wife, Verna, a brother, Walter Blumenstein of Oconomowoc,
Wis., nieces, nephews and other relatives. Three brothers and four sisters preceded
him in death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home after 1 p.m. Saturday until the
time of service. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church of Manitowoc.
