Stephen D. Long, 91, father of Stanley D. Long of Grand Island, died yesterday at a hospital in Franklin, Neb. He had been seriously ill only two weeks. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. at Franklin, with burial in the Hildreth cemetery. Mr. Long homesteaded in the Hildreth community in 1870.
He is survived by two sons, Stanley D. Long, Grand Island, Harold B. Long, Franklin; and two daughters, Mrs. Earl Murray, Ord, and Mrs. Ben Harrington, Franklin. His wife died 10 years ago.
