Homer L. Mitchell, 65, of Route 2 Frankfort, died on Thursday evening of last week at the Lafayette Home Hospital. He had been ill for three weeks.

He was born Nov. 22, 1906 to Charles and Eva Wayt Mitchell in Carroll County. On Nov 23, 1935 he married Eleanor Hill, who survives.

Mr. Mitchell was employed at the Rossvile Lumber Co. after working at the Frankfort Country Club for 28 years.

Mr. Mitchell, a member of the Bellville Methodist Church, is also survived by a son, H. Edward H. of Moran; a sister, Mrs. Guy Reed of Route 5 Frankfort; a half-brother, Harley Mitchell of Frankfort and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Rossville with the Rev. Robert Lutton officiating. Burial took place at the Rossville Cemetery.
