A native of Healdsburg, he had made his home in Pacific Grove since 1923. He retired, after 38 years, from his employment with Grove Laundry.
Mr. Long was a veteran of World War I, and a member of VFW Barracks 634 of the Monterey Peninsula.
His wife, Bertha, died in 1969. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth (Lorraine) Johnson of Seaside and Mrs. Jess (Gloria) Silva of Reno, Nev; a son, Fred J. Long of Pacific Grove, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Little Chapel-by-the-Sea, Asilomar boulvard, Pacific Grove, with Rev. Glen Fisk of Mayflower Church officiating.
Inurnment will be at El Carmelo Cemetery, with Paul Mortuary in charge of arrangements

Annie Copple Clark was an aunt to Harold Long. She was his mother's sister.
Another aunt was Elizabeth Copple Jewell Englehart. Jewell was Libbie's adopted name.
