She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late William Marvin and Della Ham Styers, a retired textile mill employee and homemaker, and a member of Loray Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Virgil F. Collette; two sons, James F. Collette of Gastonia and Dan W. Collette of Louisburg; daughter, Betty Adams of Gastonia; two brothers, Jack W. and Joe M. Styers, both of Gastonia; sister, Virginia Mosier of Jacksonville, Fla,; nine grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Raymond White at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Loray Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at Carothers Funeral Home in Gastonia.
