“Pete” as he was known to everyone, was 41 years old, a life long resident of Winona, and a son of the late Thomas and Tennie Winchester. Tennie Winchester passed away just three months ago on March 27, 1965 and Thomas Winchester a year earlier on March 29, 1964.
Pete was well known in Shannon County and the adjoining area as a semi-pro baseball player. His sudden and untimely death was a shock to his many relatives and friends.
He is survived by eight brothers; James of Memphis, Tenn., Raymond of St, Clair, Mo., Chester of Cahokia, Ill., Floyd, Milburn, Robert, Marvin and Don of St. Louis, and numerous other relatives and friends.
