Guptill (Gubtill) has many variations of spellings. Harriet (Harriett), daughter of Nahum Guptill and Sarah Rolfe married Eleazer (Eleazur, Eleaser) Rosebrooks (Rosebrook)November 8, 1810.

Quote from "Historical Researches of Gouldsboro, Maine"..published 1904-DAR and again by the Gouldsboro Historical Society-1984 on page 56-"Eleazer Rosebrook, of Guildhall, Vermont was one of General Cobb's farm hands, aiding the General to turn stones into bread. He married Harriet, a daughter of Nahum Guptill and bought a portion of the "Marsh" of General Cobb. Some years later his daughter Eliza, one of eleven children, served the General as a housemaid, receiving fifty cents in Winter and four shillings in Summer."

They actually had 13 Children. 2 sets of Twins. 2 children that died very young**. They are as follows:

Lydia 1811-1878
Eliza 1813-1892
Clymena (Climena) 1815-1878
Sarah Ann 1817-1897
David Cobb 1819-1869 Captain of the Sea
Nahum C 1821-1822**
Nahum G 1823-1882 Captain of the Sea
Freeland R 1827-1901
Martha Parritt(Twin) 1830-1900
William H (Twin) 1830-1895
Ebenezer Cobb (Twin) 1832-1833**
Henry C Rosebrook(Twin) 1832-1863
Ebenezer Cobb "Eben" 1835-1911 Captain of the Sea

Ebenezer Cobb "Eben" and his Wife Sarah Jane Spurling and some of their family are buried in the "Preble Cemetery" on the Great Cranberry Island, Maine.

I believe that Naham 1821-1823 and Ebenezer Cobb 1832-1833 are both buried in this cemetery with thier parents but to date have been unable to secure records.
