One of the prettiest church weddings of the season occurred at St. Rose of Lima Catholic church at nine o'clock Wednesday morning, June 23, when Miss Lillian Barrington became the bride of Lawrence Dugal.
Mrs. John Agnew presided at the organ and played Lohrengren's Wedding March as the bridal party entered the church in the following order: Miss Margaret McKay (daughter of Robert Francis McKay and Florence McGrath McKay), as flower girl followed by the bridesmaid and best man, and the bide and groom. The party proceeded to the alter where the ceremony was performed by Rev. Fr. A. J. Aurit. Following the ceremony a low mass was read during which Mrs. Agnew sang "My Task" and "The Prayer Perfect" and A. T. Nabbefeld rendered the following solos: "Just For Today," "Ave Maria," and "Ave Verum." The church was prettily decorated for the occasion with bouquets of pink and white peonies.
Miss Delvina Mercier (daughter of Albert Mercier and Agnes Beaudin Mercier) of Colburn, cousin of the bride acted as bridesmaid and wore a beautiful dress of green georgette. She carried a bouquet of pink carnations. The bride was becomingly attired in a dress of cream georgette and lace over satin. She wore a veil of embroidered tulle and carried a shower bouquet of roses and sweet peas. The groom was attended by his cousin Walter E. Patneaude of Chippewa Falls and both wore the conventional blue suits. Miss Margaret McKay, the flower girl was dressed in pink organdy and carried a basket of mixed flowers.
After the church services the bridal party proceeded to the home of the groom's mother, Mrs. Anna Dugal where a reception was held for about thirty-five invited quests. Color scheme in the home was carried out in pink peonies and ferns.
The bride is a young lady of many fine qualities and of excellent attainment. She is talented, both in music and along educational lines and has taught in the schools of the county for several years. While she has not made her home in Cadott, she has a host of friends here who wish her well.
Mr. Dugal is a prominent business man, here, being the proprietor of the local billiard and bowling rooms.
Mr. and Mrs. Dugal left by auto at noon on a short honeymoon trip through the northern part of Wisconsin. Upon their return they will make their home here.

LAST RITES HELD WEDNESDAY AT ST. ROSE FOR LILLIAN DUGAL
Funeral services were held yesterday (Wednesday) morning for Mrs. Lawrence Dugal of this village, who passed away at St. Joseph's hospital early Monday morning. Her death followed an illness of some duration.
Fr. Jos. Wagner officiated at the 9:30 a.m. services, held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic church; burial was in the church cemetery. The parish Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at Leiser's Funeral Home.
Mrs. Dugal was born on September 23, 1899, as Lillian Barrington, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Barrington of Chippewa Falls. After her graduation from Notre Dame-McDonell high school at Chippewa, she attended and graduated from Superior State College. As a teacher, she taught rural schools at New Auburn, Grantsburg, and in Chippewa county.
On June 23, 1926, she married to Lawrence Dugal. and they made the village their home ever since, where Mrs. Dugal was an active church and civic leader. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima church, St. Ann's Society, the Royal Neighbors, American Auxiliary, and the Notre Dame-McDonell Alumni association.
She was also a charter member, and for the past several years an honorary member, of the Cadott Woman's club. In addition she maintained a lively interest in many community endeavors, including the community library of which she was an ardent supporter; she was an accomplished pianist and a lover of fine music; she had boundless pride in her home.
Surviving are her husband; her son, Peter and a grandson, Dennis, all of Cadott. Her parents, a twin brother, George, and a sister, Marguerite, preceded her in death.
