Dorothy A. Van Pelt, 81, passed away on Friday, January 20th in her home after an extended illness. Dorothy was born on October 19, 1935 in South Bend to the late Michael and Mary H. (Horvath) Kovatch.

She was married on May 2, 1970 to Louis Van Pelt in South Bend. Louis preceded her in death on May 11, 2003. Dorothy was also preceded in death by her brothers, Michael and Paul Kovatch, her son, William M. Lowry and her son-in-law, Larry Platz.
