Dec. 5- Mrs. Mary A. (Frantz) Irwin, Widow of the late Andrew Irwin, died at her home in this place, at 1 o’clock, Saturday morning, aged nearly 84 years. She sustained a paralytic stroke a week before, that ended in death. Deceased was born in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, Dec. 11, 1816, and departed this life Dec 1, 1900. She was the oldest in a family of 12 children of whom 7 are living at present. With her and her family she came here from her birthplace about 45 years ago and settled on the farm where she died. She was the mother of nine children, three of whom have proceeded her to the other shore. The living are Jacob Irwin, of New Milford, Susquehanna County, Pa., Mrs. A.H. Carr residing near the old homestead; George Irwin of Lawton, Mich.; Mrs. Sara A. Harvey, of Franklin; Mrs. E. C. McKay, of Conneautville and P.W. Irwin, of Pennside, Erie County. She has been greatly afflicted for more than a year by her sight and hearing which had almost failed her. The funeral services were conducted Monday by Rev. Francis M. Hall, and the remains were laid to rest beside kindred dead in the Conneautville Cemetery.
