Mr. John A Bauguess, age 87, of Wilkesboro died Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Rose Glen Village.
Funeral services will be held 2:00, Saturday, August 11, at Liberty Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. David Sparks officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home from 7:00 until 9:00 Friday night.
Mr. Bauguess was born in Wilkes County, September 10, 1924, to Newton and Nannie Richardson Bauguess. He was a member of Liberty Grove Baptist Church. Mr. Bauguess served in the US Army during World War II. He was the co owner of B & R Sheet Metal.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bauguess was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia McNeill Bauguess and his second wife, Reba Bumgarner Bauguess; five sisters, Florence Trivette, Fern Sebastian, Carolyn Myers, Marie Bryant and Zell Bryant; four brothers, Eugene Bauguess, Clifton Bauguess, Bonson Bauguess and Clay Bauguess.
Mr. Bauguess is survived by three daughters, Jennifer Anderson and husband, Ray of Fort Mill, SC, Janice Bauguess-Jones and husband, Peter of Boone, Jenene Gant and husband, Darren of North Wilkesboro; four grandchildren, Ryan Anderson, Jonathan Anderson, Laura Shepherd, Tyler Gant.
