Marjorie Moreland
Services for Marjorie E. Moreland, 73, 1703 Clark St., will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at the First Christian Church in Norfolk. The Rev. Richard E. Brown will officiate with burial in the Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 - 8 p.m. Tuesday at Home for Funerals in Norfolk. She died Saturday, May 20, 2000, at the Stanton Nursing Home.
On Aug. 16, 1926, the daughter of Robert and Nellie (Russell) Musick was born at Hastings. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1944. She married Robert H. Moreland on March 12, 1945, at Cambridge, Mass. The couple lived in Omaha from 1947 - 53. She was employed in libraries in Hastings, Harvard University and Omaha before moving to Norfolk, where her husband was a meteorologist. In Norfolk, she worked in the drapery business at Modern Drapery and Schwesers, then owned and operated her own establishment, Creative Draperies.
Mrs. Moreland was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her husband; three sons and their wives, Richard and Hope of Swartz Creek, Mich., Raymond and Bonnie of Baton Rouge, La., and Russell and Lorileigh of Aurora, Colo.; one brother, Russell Musick of Blair; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandson.
