She was born in Queenston, Ontario on October 6, 1921, the daughter of James D. and Ellen [Forsyth] MacKenzie. Mrs. Barry moved to Niagara Falls, NY with her family in 1922, where she attended local schools. She was employed with Spirella Co. and later with Carborundum Globar Division.
Mrs. Barry loved spending time with her family and was known as "Grandma Barry" to many and was an avid Bingo Player. She was the wife of the late Donald A. Barry, who died in September of 1988.
Mrs. Barry is survived by four sons, Raymond L. ( Allison) MacKenzie of Hamburg, NY, Donald L. Barry of Niagara Falls, NY, Gerald W. Barry of Sanborn and Norman E. (Barbara) Barry of Niagara Falls, NY; four grandsons, Aaron S. Barry, Nicholas W. Barry, Edward "AJ" Barry and Stephen P. (Danielle) DePalma; one great grandson, Stephen P. DePalma; two brothers, Ronald (Annie) MacKenzie of Niagara Falls, ONT. and Raymond (Rose) MacKenzie of North Tonawanda, NY, she is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late James, William, George and Norman MacKenzie.
