Paul M. Schwark, a native of Yuma was born November 21, 1921. His only time away from Yuma was to serve in WW II as a commissioned Air Corp (Force) pilot who flew missions in Italy, and to attend Tempe Normal College, now ASU. While at college, he met the love of his life, and the mother of his three children, Connie Vaughan.

Upon receiving his BA Degree he returned to Yuma and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). He was the first CPA in the city. Until his death, August 2, 2012, he continued his CPA practice which at one time was one of the largest CPA firms in Yuma. During his career, he was involved with many community organizations.

After his wife's death in 1989, he later married his long time neighbor and friend Lamoine Hardy. They remained married until her death in 2011.

Paul leaves behind son Ken, an administrator with the State, son Bill, an anesthesiologist, daughter Karen, a teacher in the Yuma School District, and son-in-law Bill Babb, a school psychologist for the high school district, also eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Through his marriage to Lamoine, he gained four step sons, Richard (Becky), Steve (Karen), Gary, and Tim (Kathy), as well as many step grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 7, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Johnson Mortuary. Services will be Wednesday, August 8, at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, and because of Paul's love for animals, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Yuma.
