"Mrs. Sallie Belle Ashley Taylor, 75, wife of Charles Elwood Taylor, who died two weeks ago, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Dorothy Buis of Gilpin last Thursday. She had been in poor health for several months.

The daughter of the late Thomas and Delilah Wesley Ashley, she was born Nov. 18, 1878. She married Mr. Taylor, April 30, 1899, and 11 children blessed this union. Two children and Mr. Taylor preceded her in death.

A member of the Bethelridge Methodist Church for many years, she attended services regularly and devoted much of her time to the work of the church.

Mrs. Taylor is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Elliott, Cincinnati, Mrs. Dorothy Buis, Gilpin, Miss Martha Taylor, Gilpin, and Mary Wesley, Ware; five sons, Preston, Luther, Doyle, and Stanley Taylor, all of Cincinnati, and Robert Taylor, Ware; one sister, Miss Bessie Ashley; three brothers, Chester, Joe, and Anthony Ashley, all of Bethelridge; 39 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday at the Bethelridge Methodist Church, the Rev. Kenneth Holbrook officiating. Burial was in the Bethelridge cemetery."
