Charlotte Garrett Rankin Forrester, 89, of Hampstead, died Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2012, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson.

Born Dec. 24, 1922, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Pauline Rankin. She was the wife of Gilbert Coolidge Forrester, who died in 1978.

She worked daily at NESAP in Hampstead. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, where she was active in the parish.

Surviving are daughters Peggy Dwyer and husband Ed, and Kathy Essig; sons and daughters-in-law Thomas and Jackie Forrester, Joseph and Barbara Forrester, Patrick and Rhonda Forrester, and James and Holly Forrester; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by sons Gilbert "Bert" and Timothy Forrester; and siblings Margaret Marshall, James Gilbert "Bud" Rankin, Bernard Rankin, Daniel Rankin and Edward Rankin.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, 2930 Hanover Pike, Manchester, with the Rev. Michael Roach officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
