Mrs. Ruby Breedlove Gunter, 84, of Monroe, died March 21, 1983.
She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Max (Runelle) Laseter, Monroe, Mrs. Joel (Myrtle) Cox, Monroe, Mrs. Doris G. Atha, Monroe, Mrs. Harry (Florence) Knight, Monroe, Mrs. Rufus (Mary Lena) Rowland, Athens, sons: James Gunter, Monroe, Jack Gunter, Decatur, Fred Gunter, Augusta, Wade Gunter, Lavonia, brothers, Ira Breedlove, Monroe; Burton Breedlove, Monroe; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews.
Born March 15, 1899 in Walton County, where she lived all her life, Mrs. Gunter was the daughter of the late George W. Breedlove and Bela Treadwell Breedlove. She was the widow of James Fred Gunter Sr. who died in 1962. She was a member of Center Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held March 22 in Center Hill Baptist Church. The Rev. W. M. Dunagan and the Rev. Rufus Rowland officiated. Interment was in the church cemetery. Grandsons served as pallbearers.
