Jane C. Stiff, 92, of Cresco, died on Monday, Aug. 6, 2012, at her home. She was the loving wife of the late Horace A. Stiff.
Born in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Ray (Shepherd) Cholerton.
She was a member of Keokee Chapel United Methodist Church and the Willing Workers of Paradise Valley. Before retiring to the Poconos, Jane and her husband, Horace, worked as caretaker's for the Rolling Rock Estates Fishing Club in Ligonier.
She is survived by three sons: Wayne Stiff and his wife, Margaret, of East Stroudsburg; Mike Stiff and his wife, Donna, of Cresco; and Gary Stiff and his wife, Bobette, of Cresco. She is also survived by seven grandsons: Scott, Daniel, Michael, Christopher, Joshua, Kyle and Matthew Stiff; and four granddaughters: Ingrid Dewitt, Erika Sheloski, Amy Moreano and Andrea Stiff.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Francis and Ira Cholerton.
There will be a visitation from noon until the time of memorial service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Keokee Chapel UMC in Paradise Valley. The Rev. Mertice Shane will conduct the memorial service. Burial will follow at Keokee Chapel Cemetery.
