Alice Jenny Davis, 72, widow of Charles Henry Davis, died Sunday at the home of her daughter, Betty Lou Beesley, in Chicago, Illinois. She was born in Union City, the daughter of James and Mary (Milne) Smith. She and her husband had lived in Chicago for 33 years before returning to Winchester in 1944. She returned to Chicago after the death of her husband on January 18, 1955. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, William Smith; and her sister, Agnes Bowman. Surviving, other than her daughter, are her sister, Blanche Gard of Winchester; and a grandson. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Maynard and Walker Mortuary with Rev. G. M. Payne officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Park Cemetery.
