WALTER E. MCCOY
(1892-1957)

Walter Emerson McCoy, 65, of 1826 1/2 Timmonds Ave., died at 10:55 a.m. today at Smith-Everett Hospital, where he had been a patient since Nov. 1.

Survivors include a son, Walter McCoy, circulation manager of Steubenville Herald-Star, formerly of Portsmouth.

Mr. McCoy, a native of Portsmouth, was a son of John Murray McCoy and Louise Distel McCoy. The mother, 88, residing at 1826 Timmonds Ave., is among the survivors.

Also surviving are three brothers, Harry and J. Murray McCoy of Portsmouth, and Howard McCoy in Florida; and two sisters, Mrs. James Forrest of Roanoke, Va., and Mrs. Malcolm Shy of Detroit; and three grandchildren, David, James and Ann.

Mr. McCoy was a tinsmith employed at the Jeanguenat Furnace and Tin Shop. He was a member of All Saints Church and the Eagles Lodge.

The body is at Emrick Funeral Home pending arrangements.

Funeral services are to be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in All Saints Episcopal Church for Walter Emerson McCoy. Rev. H. Wiley Ralph will officiate services, with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Emrick Funeral Home.
