Carlinville, Aug. 31 - Charles Loehr, brother of J.C. Loehr, one of the veteran merchants of Carlinville, died yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, William F. Loehr, two miles north of the city. He was 79 years old.

Eight children survive. They are Albert, William and Otto of Carlinville; Mrs. Henry Oldewurtel, of Pauline, Iowa; Charles and Theodore, of Missoula, Mont.; and Mrs. J.C. Fuess and Miss Annie Loehr of Carlinville.
