Was Former Burr Oak Boy; Wife Was Eunice Parsons of Superior

Funeral services for Seaman 1c Clyde Otis LeMay Jr., who died of injuries sustained in a street car accident at Oakland, Calif., May 14, were held at the Volland Funeral Home Sunday at 3 p.m. Chaplain G.A. Schulze of the Hastings Naval Ammunition Depot officiated. Burial was in Parkview cemetery.

The body arrived at Hastings accompanied by a military escort, Seaman 1c Alvin G. Katzberg.

Seaman LeMay, who had been in the armed forces for nearly two years as a gunner on a ship, had made three trips across the Pacific and was ready for his fourth. He had been home on leave and was married April 28 to Miss Eunice Parsons of Superior. He was returning to his ship when the accident occurred and he was taken to the Treasure Island Hospital where he died.

Born August 28, 1924, at Council Grove, Kans., he had lived in Burr Oak, Kans.

He is survived by his wife, who is with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Parsons in Superior; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde O. LeMay Sr., 810 Circle P F Street, Spencer Park; three sisters, Mrs. Everett Burge and Mrs. Beale, both of Burr Oak, Kans., and Harriet Ruth LeMay at home; one brother Orville at home; and his grandfather, Horace Hadley of Burr Oak, Kans.--Hastings Tribune
