STATESBORO -- Katie Mae Byrd, 65, died Jan. 15 at East Georgia Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, the Cheerful Club of Statesboro and the Neighborhood Watch Program in the Butler Homes community. She was a homemaker.
SURVIVORS: nine daughters, Priscilla Mosley, Janice Smith, Mildred Fagin, Charlotte Dennis and Lestine Byrd, all of Statesboro, Cecilia Kelly of Cincinnati, Cynthia Blount of Alexandria, Va., Jackie Wilkerson of Miami and June Byrd of Atlanta; two sons, Ronald Wilkerson of Douglas and Shafters Wilkerson of Statesboro; five sisters, Catherine Jackson, Dorothy German, Valencia McNair and Lethia Rich, all of Statesboro, and Linda Fallen of Augusta; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Saturday at Tabernacle Baptist Church, burial in Eastside Cemetery. James R. Barnes Mortuary.
