Mrs. Anna G. Waters, 93, a resident of the Atlantic Care Center since 1973, died at the center Sunday. She was a former resident of 604 West Sixth.
The daughter of Michael and Mary Fitzpatrick McCarty, she was born southeast of Walnut Oct. 18, 1887, and was married to Frank Waters in Walnut Feb. 18, 1914. They lived in the Wiota area until moving to Atlantic in the earl 1960s. She was a member of the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church.
Surviving are a brother-in-law, Ed Waters of Atlantic, and a number of nieces and nephews, including a nephew, Merle Ury of Pomona, Calif., who made his home with the Waters family for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in 1973; her parents; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Miller, Mrs. Hester Armstrong and Grace Ury; three brothers, Jesse McCarty, Raymond McCarty and Tom McCarty; and two brothers and a sister who died in infancy.
A funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edward R. Kelly a celebrant. Interment will be in the Atlantic Catholic Cemetery. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Roland Funeral Home.

Funeral Mass for Anna Gertrude Waters, 93, was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Edward Kelly officiating. Mrs Charles Sandhorst provided musical selections. Casket bearers were J.C. Morrison, Lyle Armstrong, Richard Dolan, Dill Kinen, Gail Armstrong and Ed Mailander.
Interment was in Atlantic Catholic Cemetery
