Mrs. Harriet Ehlers of Hwy W. in the Town of Saukville passed away early Sunday, November 23, 2008 at Heritage Nursing Home in Port Washington. She was 87 years old. Harriet was born in Port Washington on February 2, 1921, the daughter of William and Grace Miller Scharl. On February 28, 1945, she was united in marriage with Harvey Ehlers in Port Washington. Harvey preceded her in death. For many years, Mrs. Ehlers was a Nurse's Aide at St. Alphonses in Port Washington. She belonged to Frieden's Evangelical Church. Harriet loved cats and enjoyed being outside, going for walks, cooking and baking. Mrs. Ehlers is survived by her children, Glenn Ehlers of Saukville and Romayne (Paul) Heidenreiter of Sheboygan Falls. She is further survived by her grandsons Craig and Terry, five great - grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Harvey, one sister Flossie Behrens and two brothers: Anthony and William Jr. According to Harriet's wishes, no funeral services will be held. She will be laid to rest in Union Cemetery.
