My GG-Grandparents.
*Birth year is best guess after looking at all info available. Age is inconsistent throughout records.
*Per 1870 & 1880 US Censuses living in Enfield, with husband & children. After being widowed, she lived with Lizzie & Molly, neither of who ever married, for the rest of her time on earth. She died from heart problems.
*They had 7 children, per St. Patrick's Church Records & Census records: Elizabeth J., James Edwards, Arthur Patrick, Mary E, Catherine Teresa (Gendron - my G-Grandmother), Francis Joseph & Charles Aloyisus.
*Per Death Record: Parents names were James Cannon & Elizabeth Ford both born in Ireland. Age at death: 65 yrs 5 mos & 23 days.
*Her orbit as it appeared in the 'Springfield Union' Dec 4, 1915: 'Well-Known Woman Dies Suddenly Sitting In Chair' Mrs. Mary McCue, widow of Arthur McCue, and a well-known resident of Thompsonville for many years, died at her home in High Street shortly before 11 o'clock yesterday morning. Although Mrs. McCue had been in failing health a long time, her death was unexpected. She died suddenly while sitting in a chair.
She was born in Suffield, but came to this village when young, where she had ever since made her home. She was an attendant of St. Patrick's Church as long as her health permitted. Her husband died more than 20 years ago.
Mrs. McCue leaves six children, Misses Mary and Elizabeth McCue and Mrs. Henry Johnson, the latter of Springfield, and James, Arthur and Francis P. McCue. The funeral probably will take place in St. Patrick's Church Monday morning, with burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery." (Note mistake: Mrs Henry Johnson is actually Mrs. Henry Gendron, my grandmother)
