Leland Bonneau died Wednesday, March 17, 1993. He was born May 22, 1928 at Gunter to Van and Erma Jameson Bonneau. The family moved to Dodson when he was two. He graduated from Dodson High School in 1945. He attended Texas Tech in Lubbock. He married Norma Joyce Brock at Wellington December 26, 1948. They had one daughter, Linda Ann Bonneau Caillet, who preceded her father in death December 16, 1979; two sons, Charles Edwin and Pete Brock.

Having grown up in the faith, he was baptized at an early age and always participated in the teaching of the gospel. He preached at Dodson and area churches around Plainview and Hale Center. He was a member of the Farmers Branch Church of Christ for more than twenty years.

His secular livelihood was an auto mechanic for many years. He worked for the Bonneau Company from 1973 until he retired August 1992.

Norma Joyce Bonneau preceded him in death June 6, 1973. On March 31, 1975 he was married to Sadie Thornton.

Survivors are his wife, Sadie Bonneau; sons Charles Bonneau and wife Betty Ann; Pete Brock Bonneau, all of Dallas; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin and Barbara Bonneau and Edel and Darlene Bonneau; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
