EMBRA SHELDON DIES
Embra R. Sheldon, 77, a life-long resident of Delanson, died at Ellis hospital, Schenectady, Friday morning, after a brief illness. Funeral services were held from the White Funeral Home. Rev. John J. Prudom, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. Burial was made in Grove cemetery, Quaker Street.
Mr. Sheldon was born here Aug. 23, 1859, son of the late Hicks W. and Lucy Barton Sheldon. His wife, the former Susan Case, died many years ago. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. George Smith and Mrs. Frank Childe of Schenectady; Mrs. William Cortwright of Michigan; and Mrs. Ray Proctor; a brother, Jacob Sheldon of Fort Plain.
