Graveside services for Charles E. Hood, 84, of Joe Tabor Road, Crossville, who passed away Nov. 18, 1998, were held Nov. 19 at Green Acres Memory Gardens. Bro. Sam Davis officiated.
He was born Dec. 31, 1913 in Polk County, TN, the son of John L. and Daisy Elizabeth Caine Hood.
Mr. Hood was a chemical engineer in Oak Ridge, TN, and he served in the U.S. Army, 6th Cavalry, during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Sadie Garner Hood of Crossville; daughters, Faye Mrini of New York, NY, Patsy Brown of Sylva, NC, and Judy Hood of Crossville; son, Jim Hood of Crossville; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and brother, Sidney Hood of Maryville, TN.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, John Hood.
