YOUNGSTOWN - Prayers will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Higgins-Reardon Funeral Homes, Austintown Chapel followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for Clara Louise Colla, 87, who passed away Thursday evening at the Inn at Christine Valley.
Clara was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Grace (Bauchman) Witzeman.
Clara was a 1942 graduate of South High School and a former member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially during the holidays.
Her husband, Samuel Colla Sr., whom she married Aug. 12, 1945, passed away June 25, 1991.
Clara leaves her two sons, John (Mary) Colla of Austintown and Paul Colla of Austintown; four grandchildren, Lisa, Jennifer, John and Gina; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Clara was also preceded in death by two sons, Samuel Colla Jr. and Ronald Colla; two sisters, Ruth Spangler and Edna Witzeman; and a brother, Lloyd Witzeman Jr.
Family and friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
