HOWARD PENNINGTON'S WIFE IS DEAD — Jessie Ellen Pennington was born on May 16, 1901, in Thomas, W.Va., a daughter of the late Daniel and Sarah (Spencer) Lipscomb. In addition to her parents, a brother, George Limpscomb, and her first husband, Page Redman, who in 1918, both preceded her in death.

Jessie died on Wednesday, May 14, 1941, due to the results of a house fire, at the age of 39.

During the time of her demise, she was survived by her second husband, Howard Pennington; daughters, Jessie Lucrecia Pennington and Mary Virginia Pennington; a brother, Harry Lipscomb, and sisters, Laura Carrico, Catherine Davis, Iva Greco, Lectie Bava and Sarah Lipscomb.

Funeral services were conducted in Thomas.

Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Thomas.

d/o Daniel & Sarah Lipscomb. She first married Page Redman, he tried to change his name to Redmond, after Page's death in 1918, a little over a year after they were married he passed away. She remarried Howard Pennington, but she died shortly after that in a house fire.
