Funeral Services For Sam Lambert
Funeral services were held at the Forest Grove Methodist church for Sam S. Lambert, member of a widely known Lawrence county family and lifelong resident of the county, whose death at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Booth Calhoun of the Forest Grove community followed a long illness. Mr. Lambert was eighty-one years old.
A former pastor of the Forest Grove church, the Rev. Phew conducted the services. Mr. Lambert was buried in the Lambert cemetery eight miles southwest of Monticello. His wife died some years ago.
He leaves three sons: Rome Lambert and Homer Lambert, Forest Grove; Shelby Lambert, New Hope; eight daughters: Mrs. Griffith Hill, Center; Mrs. Clem Lambert of the third district; Mrs. Estus Polk, Mrs. Ben Lambert and Mrs. Booth Calhoun, Forest Grove; Mrs. Lula Belle Peavey, Monticello; Mrs. Elsie B. Sumrall and Mrs. Ruth Boyd of Jayess; fifty three grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren and many other relatives.
Sympathy is extended to the bereaved loved ones.
